E-S News December 2008
Greetings
Since the release of the acclaimed 'Beauty and the beast' album in May, we have gone through a personnel change which has rendered our already rare live performances to non existent for the best part of the summer.
However we are pleased to announce the reincarnation of Joe Orban on monster synths. Joe played on our second album 'Plastic Jesus' and has now joined the fold after Kevy Canavan's departure into the world of cabaret. Kevy played a pivotal role on our last album and we wish him all the best in the future.
David 'Father Jack' Fyall has also gone to watering holes new after finding love, Taxi ranking and mental illness in deep dark Hastings. The bass role has now been replaced by Steve-The-Bass from Kendal.
Recording has commenced on our 5th album project. The album 'Sci-Fi Hi-fi' is a return to our more space rocking roots with hints of Simply saucer artrock, twisted desert folk, Moody Blues ice skating mellotrons and 60's freeform psychedelic rock
The album will be a concept piece on Charles Manson, religious hysteria, MK Ultra mind control and mental illness all sewn together by our collaborating artist VHS head as one mind damaging dark psych rocking piece.
The album will be finished for release in the spring.
We will also be collaborating with the great Californian outfit 'High Mountain Tempel' on an album of blissed out Theta drones, cut ups and fuck off's at the end of this year or the beginning of 2009. We'll keep you posted on that one?
Expect new tracks uploaded soon and new cover art too!!

Greetings all,
Earthling society's 4th album 'Beauty and the beast' will be released on UK label 4zero records on April 21st 2008.
The album is a psychedelic opus that absorbs 60's pop psych, acid country, Moody Blues-ian Utopian balladry, west coast acid rock and progressive artrock.
The album has been recorded on 24trk and mastered in San Francisco by Gary Hobish.
Artwork will be designed by the great Stacie Willoughby, which reflects the nature of the album with her unique San Franciscan 60's psych poster influence.
The album will be available from all outlets through Cadiz / Pinnacle
I can safely say it is our most concise and boldest statement to date.

E-S News September 2007
Greetings
It's been a good year so far for Earthling Society. We have finally secured distribution through Cargo records and now all 3 releases are now available through HMV, Virgin Megastore, Play.com, Amazon and Tesco.com from Monday 24th September.
Tears of Andromeda has proven to be are best and most critical release yet. It's trippy lysergic power has placed it in a lot of reviewers best albums of 2007.
On 28th October we will play our first gig in the old Smoke. Sabotage promotions have requested us to play the All Hallows festival at the Camden Underworld along with Rise above the Stars ,Gentleman's Pistols, Litmus and headlining band the legendary Leaf Hound.
We are currently recording new tracks that will become our 4th album. It's a new direction for us, a slight detour and a tad more Prog and relaxed without becoming pompous. I personally feel it will be our best album yet.

E-S News May 2007
Greetings
The new E-Society album will be released on Nasoni records of Berlin on May 1st. The album 'Tears of Andromeda-Black sails against the sky'is a 7 song, 70min krautrock/psych sonic trip which climaxes with the 21min freak-out title track.
E-society have strived to reproduce those mysterious analogue recordings of all the great 70's Krautrock bands such as Ash Ra Temple, Popul Vuh and Walter Wegmuller. Using only vintage keyboards such as the Mellotron, Jen Synthtone 1000 and the massively underrated Casio VLtone plus various wind instruments and percussion, we have finally recorded a full on lysergic 'Out there' album which we consider our masterwork to date.
The album will be available on Double vinyl and CD digi-pak.
We are currently talking with Julian Cope about a possible release on his mid-price label Fuck Off and Di which if happens will be released on extremely ltd edition with different artwork.
We have just come back from the 12th Roadburn festival at Tilburg. Our appearance was a complete success gaining many new fans and receiving much acclaim for the performance. We would like to thank Walter and the Roadburn crew for making this possible, and a big thank you for all the people who crammed into the batcave to see us.
We have the following gigs line up over the next two months
- 6th May - The Canteen. Barrow-in-Furness. Support to Julian Cope.
- 10th May - Riffs Station Road, South Shore Blackpool.
- 22nd July - Eastern Haze, Somerleyton hall.
E-S News November 2006
Greetings
Its' been a long time but we have been really busy and lazy in equal measures so we would like to apologise for not keeping this site up to date.
Since the last post back in whenever we have been rehearsing hard, updating our recording eqt and playing a coupla festivals.
In July we played the brilliant Eastern Haze festival along with Hawkwind, Dreadzone,
The brilliant Future kings of England, Litmus and the wonderful Tim Blake.
We were joined on stage by the mad professor Harvey Bainbridge who sonically attacked our set and caused our little minds to fry up in his aural attack. He then went and destroyed the main stage on Sunday by blowing the electrics during his solo set. Hats off to Harvey!!
In September we played the Outstanding Nasoni Festival at Treptower Park in East Berlin. The festival was to mark the 10 year festival of the world's greatest Psych label Nasoni. We played a great set and had chance to watch some of the greatest acid fried bands in Europe (Vibravoid, Zone six, Polytoxicomane philharmonie, Darxstar, The Atomic workers) and the Peruvian Stoner rock monsters La Ira De Dios. If you weren't there then you missed out on one of the musical events of 2006.
Read Kid Astro's review of the festival at
http://www.unimeri.com/PsychotropicZone/reports.en.php
Now we are back into the studio to record our third album with a new line-up and new eqt. The third album, as yet untitled is gonna be a psychedelic Pagan classic of the highest order we kid you not, and will be released In April 2007 to coincide with our gig at the world renowned Roadburn festival. Along with Blue Cheer. Guru Guru, The Melvins. Om, Josiah and other top class acts.
So there you have our update. We will announce more news as and when

E-S News March 2006
Greetings earthlings it's been a while.
E-society have just got back from supporting Julian Cope at the Manchester Academy. it was a great experience and a real cool time was had by all.
JC played what has been reported as his best gig in years, and I gotta agree he and the band were on fire.
Highlights for me was Highway to the Sun, Sunspots and Reynard the Fox tho I was disappointed that the set missed out what is to me his ultimate statement Upwards at 45 Degrees, correct me if it was played as I may have been elsewhere!!!
Meeting Julian, Doggen and Mr.E after the gig was a delight. they are great people and we would like to thank em for being so hospitable towards us.
Anyhow we played a rather short set of 30 mins and had to bastardize the 4 numbers we played to fit 'em in to the schedule.
Judging by the audience response on the digi-camera i think we went down splendid. Thanks to those who came early to the gig to see us, we appreciate it.
Our second album is having some rethink, why? because we thinks some of it is shit. We are currently undergoing re-recording of 4 of the tracks with our new keyboard player Joe. We need to make em more out there beyond the pale so to speak, so if things come together we are looking at an April release on Nasoni Records.
gig wise we are getting about.
21/22nd of July we are playing the Eastern Haze festival at Great Yarmouth along with Hawkwind, ozric tentacles and here and now.
23rd September we are in Berlin playing the nasoni 10 year anniversary festival.
Also in September will be the sonic rock festival. Details of dates and location T.B.C
That's all for now

E-S News September 2005
Greetings
Earthling society has just come back from playing the Sonic Rock festival at Skegness. I hope everyone who attended, enjoyed the festival as much as we did playing it. The weather was absolutely fucking gruesome mind, and there seemed to be heavy mud splattered casualties that littered the venue, but the atmosphere was terrific.
E-society would like to thank Collin Allen, Mark Colley and Big Dave for battling against the elements to ensure the show rolled along.
As some of you may or may not know our keyboard player had a Jacobs ladder style fuzzy freak-out and ran to the hills a coupla hours before our set, and left us well and truly in the cosmic shite.
However with the aid of My dear broth-in-law Sir Timothy of the one finger keyboard stylee and Lord Harvey Bainbridge of the royal knights of Hawkwind, the set went ahead to much rapturous applaud, merrymaking and substance abuse. We would like to thank Sir Tim and Lord Harvey for their staggering contribution and camaraderie especially as none of them new a single fuckin song.
The Nasoni release of Albion is getting pleasing reviews and we are amazed at the great response for such a little recording. We will be adding pictures of our so-called studio to the E-S gallery so it will give everyone an idea of the conditions we work in. In fact youll be surprised that we got anything recorded at all!!!
The second album is very nearly finished. We are just adding Some Arkestra style hardblowin sax to the track 3rd Eye Blind and we should be smokin. The schedule release for the album which will be released through Nasoni is January 2006.
Please feel free to get in touch at the e-mail address below.
